Grow

Grow is part of the Ring Series that I have been working on since 2014. These rings represent my interior experience of a particular moment and have included meditations on comfort, power, ease and growth. I felt the need to start this series as a way to break out of engrained ideas of what “art is”. And more importantly, I had to break out of the paralysis of perfectionism. Grow examines a phase of organic, steady and gentle personal development. It is a reflection of how growth can be forced and abrupt, or organic and trusting.

Grow was selected among 673 entries into the Wayne Art Center Regional Juried Spring Open.
